Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 7, 2026
Kyle Milner, CPA respects the privacy of website visitors and prospective clients. This policy explains what information the website collects, how the firm uses it, and the choices available to you.
Information You Provide
You may provide information when you send a website inquiry, schedule an introductory call, email the firm, or call the firm. That information may include your name, email address, telephone number, city and state, the type of tax or advisory assistance you are seeking, and the information you include in your message.
When you continue from the pricing calculator to an inquiry, your selected answers and estimate are temporarily stored in your browser session so you can review and include them with your message. You can remove that summary before sending. The summary is not sent to the firm unless you submit the inquiry.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank information, tax documents, tax notices, W-2s, 1099s, or other confidential records through the public inquiry form or ordinary email. If records are needed, the firm will provide instructions for using an appropriate secure process.
Information Collected Automatically
The website's hosting, security, and analytics tools may automatically receive limited technical information, such as your Internet Protocol address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, date and time of access, approximate location derived from an Internet Protocol address, and interactions with website links or forms. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for security, traffic measurement, and website performance.
How Information Is Used
The firm may use information to:
- respond to your inquiry or scheduling request;
- evaluate whether the firm may be able to assist;
- communicate about a prospective or existing engagement;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
- understand which pages and referral sources are useful; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, professional, or security obligations.
Submitting an inquiry or scheduling a call does not create a CPA-client relationship. A CPA-client relationship begins only after both parties sign an engagement letter.
Service Providers and Disclosures
The firm may provide information to service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the website and related communications. The production website uses Vercel for hosting, content delivery, and anonymized website analytics; Resend for inquiry-email delivery; Microsoft Bookings for scheduling; and Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention. The website may also use Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics if additional measurement is enabled. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
The firm may also disclose information when required by law, professional obligation, court order, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, the firm, or another person from fraud, abuse, or security threats.
The firm does not sell personal information and does not use website inquiry information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and Tracking Choices
Vercel Web Analytics measures page views and general usage without cookies and reports anonymized, aggregated information. If additional measurement through Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics is enabled, those tools may use cookies or similar technologies. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although blocking them may affect some website functions.
The website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform technical standard for those signals. The firm does not authorize third parties to use information submitted through the inquiry form to track you across unrelated websites for behavioral advertising.
Retention
Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business records, preventing abuse, and satisfying legal, regulatory, professional, or security obligations. Information connected to an engagement may be retained under the firm's separate client-record policies.
Security
The firm uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect website information. No public website, email system, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Sensitive tax records should be transmitted only through a secure process provided or approved by the firm.
Your Choices
You may ask to review, correct, or delete personal information that you submitted through the website, subject to applicable legal, regulatory, professional, security, and record-retention obligations. Send requests to kyle@milnertaxco.com. The firm may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
External Links
The website links to third-party services, including Microsoft Bookings and LinkedIn. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this policy.
Children
This website is intended for adults seeking tax and advisory services and is not directed to children under 13. The firm does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.
Policy Changes
This policy may be updated when the website or the firm's practices change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when an update is published.
