Tax Season Internship 2027
Part-time work arranged around your classes, preparing business and individual tax returns and reviewing the work directly with a CPA.
The office is in Rohnert Park, a few minutes from Sonoma State. The role is designed for accounting, finance, or business students who want practical experience in a small tax and advisory firm.

- Part-time work may continue, depending on how the season goes and your interest
Prepare returns and review the work with Kyle.
You will work on real preparation and workpaper tasks with guidance from Kyle Milner, CPA.
- Organize client documents and build workpapers.
- Prepare S corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Review prepared returns with Kyle and learn from the review notes.
- Reconcile accounts and help with year-end QuickBooks Online cleanup.
- Research tax questions and write up clear findings.
You do not need tax software experience.
You’ll need to keep records organized and ask questions when a number doesn’t make sense.
- Accounting, finance, or business majors. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students are preferred.
- Comfortable in Excel. QuickBooks or tax software experience is helpful, but it is not required.
- Able to stay organized, protect confidential information, and speak up when something is unclear.
